Seriously, I am at a loss of what to write. Nothing has been blog-worthy. Oh wait. ..the Apple Cup party was a blast even though my Cougs never showed to the game. WE SCORED ZERO! I mean how does that happen.
Anyway, for the party 2 of my friends made the greatest desserts: Timi made apple pies shaped as apples for Apple Cup. And Mrs. Gotheirshittogether made the best red velvet cupcakes with homemade cream cheese frosting with crimson and gray football candies on top. Truly beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. And she brought it in on this:

By the way the cupcake holder is from Crate and Barrel , hint hint.

Hi, Laura!
Gotta love friends who obsess as much as we do! And sorry for your dear Cougs. Tomorrow (Thursday) is the Civil War game ... in Eugene ... and the winner goes to the Rose Bowl. Not sure I can watch! (think I am a jinx!)
Did Santa get the cu pcake holder hint?
Hugs!
Betty :)
ps ... I just found out Midori has a monthly warehouse sale in Seattle! Am I the last to figure this out??? Now I KNOW we need to move back, lol! (Or maybe you could be the PDX pipeline "supplier" ... 'cause pretty ribbon is so easy to get addicted to!!)
B :)
Love that stand. the one I have is so puny I don't even think it holds a dozen cupcakes. This may have to go on the Christmas wish list :0)
I want that cupcake stand, too! It's big and not so cramped as others I've seen!
Apple Cup Condolences. Next year!
My 14 yr old grandson-coug-nut was inconsolable.
Seriously, we need to extol the virtues of WA & talk Laura (A Dozen Eggs) into moving over here. On the other hand, I'd be waddling to the mall to buy elastic waist pants. Hmm...
Love that cupcake stand - I LOVE cupcakes!
Yes, really sad about the Cougs - I am truly bummed! One thing I have noticed is people stopped me when I was wearing my Coug sweatshirt and said, "even though you lost, you Cougs have the best fans - so loyal". So
CO COUGS!
